Dortmund is famous for coal mines. When the first time the stadium was being made the whole coal beds were removed so that a stadium can be made. First it was capable of holding 50′000 then it was rennovated to hold a staggering 80′000 crowd. Germany’s Westfallenstadion has the largest field in Germany and 2nd largest in the Europe.
